General
What is as.if.radio?
as.if.radio is the live web radio stream curated by the as.if.records team. It plays continuously with real-time track metadata and program moods in the player.
Do I need an account to listen?
No. Just open the player and tap play. There is no login or account system.
How do favorites work?
Tap the star in the playlist or in the track detail modal to save a favorite. Favorites are stored only in your browser and can disappear if you clear site data.
Listening & Player
How do I start or stop the stream?
Use the play/pause button in the footer player bar. The stream is live, so playback starts at the current point.
Can I use AirPlay or Bluetooth speakers?
Yes, if your device supports it. Choose the output device in your system audio controls or via AirPlay on compatible Apple devices.
Can I use the stream in another app?
Yes. Use “Listen Anywhere” to copy the direct stream URL and open it in a media player that supports MP3 streams.
Programs & Schedule
What are the programs and moods?
Programs are curated playlists that shape the sound throughout the day. The playlist section shows the current mood and its description.
Where can I see the schedule?
Open the Program tab to see the schedule timeline. It shows current and recent segments if available.
Why do I only see “now playing” and history?
The stream is live, so we focus on the current track and previously played songs. We do not show upcoming tracks.
News & Favorites
Where do the news updates come from?
News are published by the as.if.records team and shown in the News tab when available.
How often are news items updated?
The News tab updates whenever new posts are published. Each item shows its update time.
Can I open a full news story?
Yes. If a post includes a source link, use the link button to open it in a new tab.
App / PWA Install
How do I install the app (PWA)?
Use the install option in the menu. If it does not appear, follow the manual steps:
- iOS (Safari): Share → Add to Home Screen.
- Android (Chrome): Browser menu → Install app.
- Desktop: Browser menu → Install as.if.radio.
Do I need to install the app to listen?
No. You can listen directly in the browser. The install option just makes it faster to open the player.
Does the app work offline?
No. The stream is live and requires an active internet connection.
Troubleshooting
The audio does not start. What can I do?
Try these steps:
- Check volume and mute on your device.
- Tap play again to allow audio in the browser.
- Switch to another network or browser if playback is blocked.
Playback stutters or buffers. Why?
This usually comes from network instability. Try Wi‑Fi, reduce other streaming, or restart playback to re-buffer.
Audio stops when the screen locks. Is that normal?
Some mobile browsers limit background audio. On iOS, keep Safari open or add the app to your home screen and keep the app active.
Privacy & Notifications
Do you use tracking or analytics?
Analytics are optional and can be enabled or disabled in the Privacy settings. Playback always works regardless of your choice.
How do notifications work?
If your browser supports push notifications, you can enable them in Settings. You can also disable them there or in your browser site permissions.
How much data does streaming use?
Streaming uses continuous data similar to other online audio. For longer sessions, Wi‑Fi is recommended.
